Superior Legend… Expect nice big buds with Atomical Haze, because this sativa dominant strain combines the best landraces from around the world together in one explosive plant.
This is one of our new generation strains and is our twist on the classic choice of the connoisseur. Atomical Haze combines original Haze (sativa genetics from Colombia, Mexico and Thailand) with an Indian classic sativa and a sweet Afghan indica. This hybrid mix has created something quite special – a big yielding sativa dominant plant that is built to perform.
Atomical Haze is an exotic 80:20 sativa/indica three-way hybrid of Original Haze crossed with an Indian sativa and an Afghani indica. The result is a full bloodied Haze with noticeable tweaks to the well known genre. For example this is a plant that does not grow so out of control as other Hazes, with branch growth that is characterized by big sized buds.
This strain took the 1st place sativa category at Canada’s Treating Yourself Marihuana Cup, thanks to its sweet and sour flavor with a beautiful hazy aftertaste. The intense Limonene induced sweetness of the fruity aroma, with just a hint of Haze, is evident during the grow stage. However, once dried is when the flavor really comes to the foreground with a super sweetness to the buds, balanced with a pinch of sourness and fine hazey aftertaste.
Difficulty Level: Medium – Difficult
Indoors: This plant wants to grow, like all Hazes, but it is less urgent than most. Best grown from seed to flower indoors, the big buds are a dream to trim and can be plucked off the plant like ripe fruits when harvest time comes. With its impressive growing potential indoor and appetite for nutrients, with the right management and some attention to training experienced growers will appreciate that just two of these plants have the potential to yield the same as four or five of similar varieties.
Outdoors: Plants grown from Atomical Haze cannabis seeds will soar, growing big and strong in sunshine. A relatively late harvest time (end of October) in the light cycle of the northern hemisphere, the sativa element will nevertheless give some protection from mold. However, it is gardeners in southern regions that will most benefit from the growth potential of Atomical Haze as this plant loves the sunshine – some specimens reach a height of 4 meters!
This plant is characterized by a high calyx-to-leaf ratio. Unlike many sativas, Atomical Haze cannabis seeds produce a plant which is known for its particularly large buds. The bud production is really very impressive – buds are dense and fat and extremely resinous.
Indoor Yield: 450 g per m² Outdoor Yield: 800 g per plant
Recreational: Strong and clear, this bud produces a long lasting effect that is better suited to daytime use. It is renowned for being incredibly energetic, with a noticeable impact on the body as well as delivering a very clear and vibrant effect for the mind. Long lasting power is also a recognized attribute of this strain. As a result, this is definitely a get-up-and-go cannabis strain – an energy filled companion through the day that is also perfect for socializing with friends or hitting the town after dark.
Medical: The energizing effect is savored by medical users with conditions where chronic fatigue is a feature and is also good for appetite stimulation.
Suitable for growing outside between 55º n.L. and 55º s.L., ., Atomical Haze plants will finish at the end of October outdoors (n.L.), while indoor finish time is 9 weeks. Estimated yield is 450 g per m² indoors / 800 g per plant outdoors.
Electrifying Haze Bomb
As legend goes, Atomical Haze got its name from the breeder, Luc Paradise, who was looking to create a real ‘Haze bomb’. The result is an exotic sativa (80%) whose components consist of Original Haze, Indian sativa and Afghani indica.
Still counted as one of his favourite strains and an enduringly popular customer choice in the Paradise collection, this plant is full of sweet and sour flavor with an electric soaring effect that channels uplifting energy. Flowering time is 63 – 70 days indoors and the end of October outdoors with estimated yields of 450g per m² indoors / 800g per plant outdoors. So how do they work in the grow room? Expert grower, The Doc, was keen to find out.
Germination and Vegetative Stage
The Doc sowed a package of five feminized Atomical Haze seeds. In less than three days, the sprouted seeds had reached the jiffy pots’ surface, something incredibly fast The Doc had rarely ever experienced before. He followed the Paradise Seeds recommendation to induce flowering extremely early, doing so by reducing the daily light period from 18 to 12 hours already one week after the young seedlings had appeared above the surface.
In that one week of early vegetative growth, the seedlings had been illuminated with two TLC 150 lights. With the beginning of the flowering period, they were transplanted to 11 litre pots and moved into the flowering room that was equipped with two 600 W HPS and one 400 W Osram Son-T plus lamp.
After one week into flowering, the five Atomical Haze plants showed a uniform compact growth behaviour, having arrived at three internodes. One week later, they were about 10 cm tall, with 5-6 internodes. After three weeks in the flowering stage, the first female white hairs had become visible and the plants of course kept on stretching, at the same time expediting their side branch growth. At that point of time, they measured 15-20 cm, still growing homogeneously.
After four weeks of flowering, the Doc reported: “Wow, the plants have more than doubled their height within one week, measuring 35-50 cm now! Meanwhile it has turned out there are obviously two slightly different phenotypes, three of the plants are very much on the sativa side, while the other two are also revealing certain signs of indica traits, being lower and more compact than the sativa dominant phenotype, also having wider leaves.”
When five weeks of flowering had passed, the five Atomical Haze plants were exhibiting those first small “rose” flower clusters along the branches. After seven weeks into flowering, the five plants had already formed a lot of compact buds including great top colas the size of which was obviously going to become pretty impressive in the end. And also resin production had meanwhile considerably increased, with lots of sparkling trichomes on the calyxes and flower leaves which did effect a strong sweet and fruity scent with some traces of Haze.
The stretching had totally come to an end now, with the plants measuring between 80-125 cm. The two plants of the phenotype that did exhibit somewhat more indica traits – being shorter and having a little lower calyx-to-leaf ratio than the sativa phenotype – were ripe after ten weeks of flowering.
The other three followed five days later, after 75 days of flowering. All of the five plants had become highly resinous (“like all that Paradise Seeds Wicked high stuff I have grown over the past ten years”, The Doc noted) and were giving off a very intense, extremely sweet and fruity odour with a slight trace of Haze.
When he had harvested and over three weeks carefully dried (including a slight fermentation) all those lovely big chunky resinous Atomical Haze buds, it turned out they weighed 358 grams altogether, i.e. an average of 71.6 grams per plant.
Smell and Smoke Report
And the Atomical Haze high did take The Doc by storm, proving to be another fantastic experience for him in terms of mighty sativa power and delicious smoke aroma. “It came over me with an express train’s speed, exciting super tingly strong vibrations in both my head and body, a crystally clear stimulative sativa up-high that lasted for hours.
The taste was the same, super sweet and a bit fruity sour, just as described by Paradise Seeds, and it did also include that fine hazey aftertaste on the exhale.
The Doc was totally taken with his “radioactive” Atomical Haze, “for sure another terrific haze strain with superb characteristics from Paradise Seeds”, he said.

What a beauty, growing 5 feminized seedlings since June 8, !00% germination, all uniform seedlings. Here’s a photo of one seedling @ day 34 veg. Bloom will begin day 46, July 24.
Follow along you won’t be disappointed. Going to be a great Thanksgiving!
I’ve grown many Paradise Seeds strains now, and Atomical Haze is my favourite now. A vigorous grower ,and for a sativa it’s easy to keep short and bushy. Finishes in 9 weeks.
Ask the folks at the vapour lounge I work at what I smoke all day, everyday. Cheers!
I’ve had the pleasure of trying Rene’s Atomical Haze and it is first class in every form. A credit to paradise, I definitely could taste the haze
Well done! 2 grows – 12 seeds – 100% germination rate. Number 1 strain for me, Fruity haze with really great high. Great plant for all haze lovers!
I grow it for my own medication; the high is powerfull and high range landrace sativa like( remind me some Thai bamboo sticks scored at the end of the 70’s…
The bloom time is really stiked to 9 weeks, short for a mostly sativa, and produces very good in a tent with 1000 watts, Gavita set up with light balancer, I got between 3,5 and 4,2 lb of primo bus every grow!
Great Strain, good harvest
