Banana Purple Auto is a powerful indica dominant autoflower in the tradition of Paradise’s popular Purple Mints photoperiod plant. The combination of Purple Kush x Skunk Auto x GG4 has produced a plant that scores high in regards to levels of potency (23 – 24% THC) and flavor. It’s characterized by robust growth and frosty buds blushing with pinks and purples.
Lineage
For Banana Purple Auto the Paradise breeding team picked out a striking Purple Kush pheno, with an accentuated sweetness to the bouquet, a strain known for its euphoric / relaxing effect. The other parents in the mix are Skunk Auto, bringing resilience and its own sweet notes and GG4 which injects the potency and dials up the resin count of this punchy auto, one of the strongest in the Paradise library.
Aromas, Flavour and Effect
This is a cross which carries strong characteristics from its parents which ooze through the aroma and flavor profile. This strain is sweet and citric, like a juicy ripe orange, with tones of tropical fruits and the distinctive notes of ripe banana.
The effect is an accentuation of the classic Purple Kush influence, with a euphoric rush followed by a deep body relaxation. The Skunk provides a little extra uplift, while the influence of the GG4 is noticeable in the depth of the relaxation.
This is a strain which is good for unwinding at the end of the day and forgetting about its stresses. This anti-stress aspect will also appeal to many medical users and this strain’s deep relaxation qualities also contribute to pain relief.
Cultivation
Banana Purple Auto is easy to grow and falls into the XL autoflower category. With good yield potential, it’s characterized by Indica style growth, with a candelabra formation. Tight buds cling to the protruding central cola, with many more hanging from the lateral branches which form around it. The flowers are dense and have the potential to be big!
The colorful nature of the buds from this plant – orange pistils and a blaze of pinks and purples – is reflected in the strain name. This plant produces two phenos, one of which produces deep purple coloring.
Indoors, its indica growth pattern and limited stretch means this plant will be an easy fit in most grow set ups. Pruning is not advised, although topping it once in the veg phase will promote flower growth in lateral branches.
Indoor Yield: 400-450 grams per m².
Outdoor Yield: 100-125 grams per plant.
